This policy explains how Gomotornav handles information for dashcam connectivity, media and routes, accounts, team voice calls, ride location, and customer support.
Effective: October 11, 2026Last updated: October 11, 2026
At a glance: Dashcam media, imported GPX routes, and ride data are mainly processed on your device. Accounts, support, and team voice calls use online services. Location, microphone, and camera access are requested for the relevant features. Features vary by platform and app version.
1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to Gomotornav apps and their directly associated online services, operated by Gofuture Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
The iOS version includes dashcam, account, support, team voice, phone ride-location, GPX-route, and CarPlay features. The current Android version provides local dashcam connectivity, media, and dashcam GPS tracks. It does not yet provide the same account, support, team voice, or phone ride-navigation features as iOS. Availability depends on your installed version and its feature entry points; this policy does not activate unavailable features.
Third-party websites, dashcam vendor services, and independent services you choose to use follow their own privacy rules. This policy does not replace those rules.
2. Information we process
Category
Information and use
Primary processing location
Accounts and identity
Email address, optional phone number, nickname, password, verification code, account identifiers, and sign-in sessions submitted for registration or authentication. A phone number can serve as a sign-in alias; verification codes currently go to email. iOS session credentials are stored in Keychain.
App and account server; email delivery service
Dashcam and firmware
Dashcam name, model, serial number, MAC address, firmware version, connection state, media directory, and capabilities. Wi-Fi matching sends the device Wi-Fi name to the firmware service. The public firmware catalog uses the model and package identifiers you choose and your sign-in session to query and download packages; previously shipped devices do not need factory registration. You may also voluntarily include device information in support text or images.
Mainly between your device and dashcam; firmware queries and support submissions involve servers
Factory device records and device codes
Manufacturers or authorized administrators register device serial numbers, models, and manufacturer–dealer relationships. The server generates a device code for a device with a registered model to locate its record and firmware catalog. Code queries process the submitted code and account session. A device code does not prove a consumer’s identity, exclusive ownership, or hardware authenticity, and querying it does not change organization assignments. The current iOS camera scanner is for room invitations; it does not yet offer device-code scanning.
Device-record server; authorized manufacturers, dealers, and administrators; users who request a lookup
Videos, photos, and clips
Dashcam media you preview, download, edit, or save, and a local avatar image you select. Ordinary media management and editing take place locally. Choosing a support attachment or system sharing destination sends the selected content to support or your chosen recipient.
Dashcam and your device; selected recipients receive explicitly submitted content
Dashcam GPS, phone location, and routes
Coordinates, time, speed, heading, elevation, dashcam satellite information, and imported or recorded GPX routes. After you enable location, route guidance, or route recording and authorize access, iOS uses phone location to calculate ride information, match the route, and show maps. Route recording saves coordinates, sample times, and available elevation. It keeps a draft, segments, and elapsed time locally to support pausing, recovery, and saving. Exported GPX files contain track locations and times. Drafts and saved routes are not automatically uploaded to Gomotornav servers; sharing sends them only to recipients you choose. Map display requests the relevant area from Apple map services.
Tracks, routes, and ride state mainly stay on device; Apple processes map requests
Teams and real-time voice
Account and nickname, room and invitation code, membership and organizer relationships, join/leave state, RTC user identifier, and temporary call credentials. Account-linked join times, leave times, last-online times, and estimated usage duration and history support member status, operations, troubleshooting, and security management. Presence and estimated duration do not establish an actual RTC connection or continuous speech. Live audio is transmitted when you enable the microphone. Agora SDK also processes network addresses, device details, and call-quality information needed for the connection.
Team server; participant devices; Agora real-time communication services
QR codes and system integration
Room QR codes from the camera or a selected photo are recognized locally. Confirming a join sends the room code to the team service. Siri and system calling use activity information for the selected team call.
Device and relevant Apple system services; the confirmed room code goes to the team server
Customer support
Issue descriptions, conversations, handling status, device information you voluntarily provide, and image attachments. Account and organization information determines your access and the access of staff handling a request.
App and support server; participating support organizations and authorized administrators
Service and security logs
Request paths, times, network addresses, request identifiers, response status, and necessary authentication, usage, security, and fault information. Sign-in, team joins/leaves, and firmware catalog queries and downloads may leave account-linked service usage records. Access logs may also include a device Wi-Fi name, model identifier, or package identifier from firmware queries. SDK diagnostics may include device model, OS version, CPU/memory, battery, network type, and communication quality.
App logs, servers, and relevant SDK services
Do not submit passwords, verification codes, or unrelated sensitive information to support. Our app diagnostics are designed not to log passwords, verification codes, sign-in tokens, support-message bodies, or raw media.
Firmware updates download firmware for compatible external dashcams, verify it, and transfer it to the dashcam over the local network. They do not download or replace executable iOS app code.
Sharing a room invitation may allow recipients to join, see member information, and participate in voice calls. Share it only with people you intend to invite. The current team feature does not continuously share your phone location with teammates. To allow reporting or blocking after a teammate leaves, the app temporarily keeps information about up to 50 recently encountered teammates for 24 hours in memory during the current sign-in session. Signing out, losing valid credentials, or ending the app process clears this local list.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process information needed to:
Register and authenticate users, maintain account access, and process account deletion;
Connect to dashcams; preview, download, save, and edit media; read settings and GPS tracks;
Query and obtain firmware for your selected model and version, manage factory device records, and address compatibility and support issues;
Create and join teams, manage members, and transmit live voice;
Provide ride information, route recording and saving/export, GPX guidance, maps, and CarPlay/Siri integration when you use them;
Handle support requests, troubleshoot faults, prevent misuse, and protect service security.
Depending on applicable law, processing may rely on delivering a service you request, your choices or consent, permitted security needs, or legal obligations. When consent or system permission is needed, the relevant feature explains its purpose and requests authorization. Refusing an optional permission affects features that rely on it.
4. Permissions and local network
Local network: Connect to a dashcam hotspot and access settings, live views, media, and GPS data. Dashcams use local protocols such as HTTP/RTSP; connect only to device networks you trust.
Location: iOS ride, route-guidance, and route-recording features request When In Use authorization as needed. Location or recording sessions you start may continue in the background within the authorization granted. Stop the relevant session or change permission in system settings to stop this use. Pausing or ending a route recording does not also end navigation that you started separately. Dashcam history and phone location are separate sources.
Microphone: Capture speech after you start team voice and authorize access. You can mute, pause, or leave a call. While muted, you may still hear others according to your listening settings.
Camera: Scan room QR codes; scanning does not record video. Photo recognition uses a system picker to access an image you select.
Photos and files: Use system pickers to select support images, an avatar, or GPX files. Media is written to the system photo library only when you choose to save it. Older Android versions may require storage permission for saving media.
Siri and system calling: Start the selected team call at your request and let the system display and manage call activity. Manage Siri access in system settings.
You can manage permissions in your device settings. iOS background modes support ongoing location and audio sessions; they do not authorize collection while the relevant feature is inactive.
5. Sharing and third-party components
We do not sell personal information or use the information above for targeted advertising across apps or websites. The current app includes no advertising or behavioral analytics SDK. Communication SDKs still process operational and diagnostic information; absence of advertising does not mean absence of data processing.
Alibaba Cloud: Hosts account, support, team, and firmware services. Alibaba Cloud DirectMail delivers email verification codes and processes recipient addresses and verification-message content.
Agora RTC SDK: Provides team voice calls. This iOS version integrates AgoraRtcEngine 4.6.4 and its basic components and supplies room, RTC user identifier, and call credentials. For communication and quality diagnostics, the SDK processes live audio, IP addresses, and device/network information. The app does not call recording or transcription features. See the Agora Privacy Policy and Shengwang SDK personal-information rules for supplier disclosures and retention rules. Processing depends on the services and configuration used.
Apple: iOS maps, Siri, CarPlay, and system calling use Apple frameworks or services. Requests needed for these features are processed by Apple. See Apple privacy information.
Local media and maps: iOS uses MobileVLCKit 3.3.16.3 and Android uses LibVLC to play media. Android maps use osmdroid/OpenStreetMap. Loading map tiles sends network addresses and requested map areas to the map service. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
Support and sharing you initiate: You, participating support organizations, and authorized administrators can access support tickets. With system sharing, you choose the recipient, whose own rules apply to the shared information.
We may also disclose necessary information at your direction, as required by applicable law, or where necessary to protect users and service security. A restructuring, merger, or transfer of assets will be handled with applicable notice and protection obligations.
This policy page is served directly by Gomotornav. It does not set language-preference cookies or use browser local storage or third-party tracking scripts. The server processes access requests and necessary network metadata to deliver the page.
6. Storage, international processing, and security
Account, support, and related servers currently use Alibaba Cloud infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany. Verification email uses Alibaba Cloud DirectMail in Hangzhou, China. Our operations and support teams are in China; authorized personnel may access necessary information from China to handle requests, maintain services, and protect security.
Agora communication, Apple, and map services process requests through their service networks and configurations. Their processing should not be assumed to take place only in Germany. International processing depends on the features, providers, and your location. Contact us below for information relevant to your use.
We use access controls, server authentication, and appropriate transport and storage protections to limit access. Local dashcam protocols and online account services use different protections; safeguard your device and Wi-Fi credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security. We handle and notify affected users of security incidents as required by applicable law.
7. Retention
Retention depends on purpose, account and ticket status, troubleshooting and security needs, and applicable law. A supplier's default retention period is not a single retention promise for all Gomotornav data.
Account details and sign-in sessions support account services. Account deletion follows the process below.
Support content and attachments are used to handle your request. Their treatment on account deletion follows the deletion confirmation and applicable law.
Necessary security records, information subject to legal retention, and isolated backups may follow different processing cycles. They are not used to continue providing a deleted account's service.
Live voice is transmitted through the communication service; this app version does not enable call recording or transcription. The server retains account-linked join/leave, presence, and estimated-duration history and service usage logs for operations, security, and issue handling; these are not call recordings. Supplier policies govern SDK connection, device, and diagnostic records. This does not imply that all call metadata is deleted immediately.
Manufacturer–dealer factory records support devices and firmware compatibility independently of consumer accounts. Deleting a consumer account does not automatically delete a factory’s device record. Contact us below if a record involves your personal information.
You manage local media, clips, GPX routes, recording drafts, dashcam tracks, and system photo-library items separately. Historical firmware caches left by older app versions for dashcams removed from the app may also remain on your device. Deleting an account does not automatically delete this device content or recall copies already shared with others.
Contact us for information about specific records or a deletion request. Any legally required retention or information that cannot be cleared immediately will be explained for the particular request.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, a copy, correction, deletion, or restricted processing, withdraw consent, or object to processing. You can edit your nickname, manage system permissions, stop location, mute or leave calls, and remove local files you control.
Account deletion: The iOS release using this policy version provides “More → tap your account avatar or name → Delete Account.” Enter your current password and confirm permanent deletion. The app shows completion and clears local account credentials and account caches only after the server confirms success. An interruption or timeout does not confirm deletion. This flow becomes available with the corresponding app and server release; if your installed version does not show it, update to that release or contact us by email below.
Deleting an account ends account access and processes the account identity, sessions, and associated personal content. Structured references to the deleted account as a reported user are removed. If a report written by someone else still contains your personal information, contact us to request its handling. Downloaded dashcam media, clips, GPX routes, and system photos remain under your control in their lists or system apps. An unfinished recording draft can be discarded from the recording screen. Signing out or uninstalling alone does not delete the server account. Uninstalling is also not a guarantee that all Keychain or backup information is removed.
Send privacy or deletion requests to helen@gofuturetech.com with “Gomotornav Privacy Request” or “Gomotornav Account Deletion” in the subject. We may verify account ownership to prevent unauthorized action and will handle or respond to requests within the time required by applicable law.
9. Children
Gomotornav is for people managing dashcams and using ride features; it is not directed at children. Minors should use it with a guardian's consent and guidance. Do not register or submit information where local law prohibits processing without appropriate authorization. Contact us if you believe we have processed a minor's information without appropriate authorization.
10. Policy updates
We update this page and its dates when features or data practices change. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another appropriate method, with renewed consent where legally required. App Store privacy disclosures should match the actual version's practices.
